How it’s Done
Mixing Equipment:
1. Computer-controlled weigh-up system that verifies ingredients and weights, prints labels, and stores all data for traceability in our fluoroelastomer batch mixing process.
2. TMP 35 liter tilt-out style mixer is computer-controlled using tangential 2-wing style rotors designed for high shear mixing.
3. Open Mills 12″, 20″, 36″, and 60″ maintained monthly by the operator and rebuilt as required. We use open mills for smaller volumes, specialty compounds, and development work.
Batch Sizes:
We can mix 2-pound lab samples up to 500-pound lots of fluoroelastomer compound. Each fluoroelastomer batch mixing uses best practices and is tested to ensure uniformity and quality.
Compound Forms:
We provide compounds in strip, slab, granulate, and calendered forms. With our extrusion skills, we can also pre-form fluoroelastomer compounds for your needs, including fluoroelastomer compounds for injection molding.
Compounding Philosophy:
For applications that demand the best performance from fluoroelastomers, only consistent, high-quality compounds will work. To achieve this, Eagle Elastomer uses only the finest ingredients. We do not use regrind, reprocessed, off-spec, or wide-spec materials. With close attention to detail in manufacturing and lab testing, we deliver top quality batch after batch. We welcome you and your team to visit our facility and see our rubber compounding services firsthand.
