Fluoroelastomer Specialists
Introducing two groundbreaking Viton™ precompounds, Viton™ B-135C and Viton™ B-435C, meticulously designed for molding applications necessitating bonding to metal inserts. With nominal Mooney viscosities of 10 and 40, respectively, these precompounds, based on 68.5% fluorine gums, boast exceptional heat and fluid resistance akin to other 68.5% fluorine Viton™ terpolymers.
Enhanced Characteristics: Featuring a proprietary cure system, bonding promoter, and process aid package, these precompounds offer improved processing attributes compared to existing terpolymer precompounds like Viton™ B-651C. Designed to provide a wide processing window, effortless mold release, and minimal mold fouling, they ensure efficient manufacturing across various applications.
Applications and Advantages: These precompounds find diverse applications in components such as valve stem, cam shaft, and crank shaft seals, offering superior heat and fluid resistance. By blending Viton™ B-135C with Viton™ B-435C, manufacturers can tailor compounds to suit specific production equipment and tooling requirements.
Advantages include the elimination of calcium hydroxide from final compounding, safe and scorch-free molding at traditional temperatures, faster cure cycles, reduced risk of mold fouling, and enhanced productivity. Moreover, they contribute to cost efficiency by reducing cycle times, minimizing rejects, and extending periods between mold cleaning.
