As reported by Plastics Technology in their article “Non-Fluorosurfactant Peroxide Curable Fluoroelastomers,” a new portfolio of high-performance Tecnoflon peroxide-curable fluoroelastomers (FKM) has been introduced without the use of fluorosurfactants. Fluorosurfactants, a type of PFAS, are traditionally used as process aids but raise environmental concerns due to their persistence and potential toxicity.

Peroxide-curable FKM rubbers are essential for various critical applications across industries such as automotive, aerospace, oil & gas, chemical processing, electronics, and healthcare. Common components made from these materials include seals, gaskets, O-rings, and hoses, which require exceptional performance and durability under harsh conditions.

By adopting these eco-friendly innovations, it continues to offer high-performance, sustainable solutions that meet the demanding requirements of various industrial applications.
