As reported by Plastics Technology in their article “Non-Fluorosurfactant Peroxide Curable Fluoroelastomers,” a new portfolio of high-performance Tecnoflon peroxide-curable fluoroelastomers (FKM) has been introduced without the use of fluorosurfactants. Fluorosurfactants, a type of PFAS, are traditionally used as process aids but raise environmental concerns due to their persistence and potential toxicity.
